FAQS

  • Can I bring decorations on the boat?

    Yes, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about available space on our boat or would like help with ideas! Here at Sydney Charter Boat, we do our best to ensure your boat hire experience is unforgettable.

  • Can I swim in Sydney Harbour?

    Absolutely! If the team wants to bring their swimmers and take a dip, we can dock in some of our favourite secluded alcoves of Sydney Harbour. Hoochie Mumma has an expansive swim deck so that you can easily jump in and out. In fact, we recommend doing so to maximise the fun on the boat!

  • Are the boats kid-friendly?

    Yes, however there is very limited spaces for prams and supervision is the responsibility of the charterer. Sydney Charter Boat prioritises safety for all guests.

  • Is it BYO or are drinks provided?

    Well that depends. If you join us on the Eclipse we have 2 licensed bars and several drinks packages to choose from. Hoochie Mumma however is BYO only. Get in touch with us to design your perfect boat hire experience.

  • Can I bring my own speaker on the boat?

    It’s not necessary unless you are having a DJ. Both Eclipse and Hoochie Mumma at Sydney Charter Boats have speakers throughout that you can connect a playlist via Bluetooth.

  • What if the weather is bad?

    Lucky for us, Sydney weather is pretty amazing most of the time, especially around the Christmas period! Both Eclipse and Hoochie Mumma have plenty of covered area, so we will continue to set sail on Sydney Harbour unless conditions prove to be dangerous.

  • Do I have to wear enclosed shoes at all times?

    You do not have to wear enclosed shoes on our boats. Our recommendation is no stilettos for safety reasons.

  • What if passengers are seasick mid charter?

    We are happy to drop off guests at the nearest wharf if they are feeling very bad, however ensure sea sick tablets are taken at least an hour before to be effective. Also ginger is good to carry for seasickness.

 

WHARF LOCATIONS

 

See the most popular pick up and drop off wharfs above including the King Street Wharves in Darling Harbour, Rose Bay, Double Bay, Lavender Bay and Towns Place. Different locations for both pick up and drop off is permitted (subject to availability and potential surcharge). We will give you advice regarding suitable locations for your party and advise which vessels can pick up from your preferred wharf location.
