Arguably, NYE celebrations in Sydney are one of the most awaited public events of the year. People from around the world visit the city wanting to see and experience the celebrations for themselves.
Many of the vantage points don’t allow alcohol, while on our cruise at Sydney Charter Boat you will get premium drinks and dishes with stellar and attentive service. Neither do you not have to get jostled around while others clamour around for a peek! When it is the most eventful night of the year, it is worthwhile to splurge a little and get comfort and luxury and enjoy the best seats in the house.
The cruise will get as close to the fireworks as is allowed, but since there are many moving factors involved that are not in the control of Sydney Charter Boat, we do not guarantee a perfect or unobstructed view.
Cruises and boats are allowed to operate only in safe areas by NSW Maritime so as to avoid any casualties, hazards, and direct fire from the fireworks. We always prioritise the safety of our customers and keep a close watch on the wind and other boats nearby to ensure you are as comfortable and safe as possible.
While the schedule may differ slightly, majorly the program remains as follows:
7.30 pm – Smoking Ceremony
8.30 pm – Lighting effects and pylon projections
9.00 pm – Welcome to Country fireworks (a family-friendly show)
12.00 am – New Year’s Day Fireworks
Yes, children over the age of 3 are welcome aboard. Please note, they must be supervised at all times. We strictly do not allow for prams.
If you have questions regarding our cruises and their facilities for children, please contact our team.
For public safety, an exclusion zone extends from Cockatoo Island to Clarke Island and is marked by yellow buoys. It is activated on 31st December at 8 pm and stays active until 1st January at 12.45 am. Only authorised vehicles are allowed within this area.
If you need to cancel a booking that is scheduled to take place as normal, then cancellation charges may apply.
